My name is Rachel and I am the owner of Luminescent Locks.

My hair extension journey began in 2013 when I had recently had my daughter (Lumen) and decided to treat myself to a set of  fusion hair extensions. I was expecting a beautiful set of extensions to boost my confidence  but instead I was left with 75 strands of horrible quality hair that neither blended nor made me feel confident- they actually made me feel worse.

At that point I decided that I could make a difference in the hair industry as there were very few extension technicians offering great quality hair and installs. I wanted to make my clients feel amazing and confident. 

 

I trained in 2013 with The Extension Academy to learn Fusion, Tape and Micro-loop Extensions. Upon mastering my craft I further added to my credentials by adding the Hair Extensions Teaching Certificate in 2015 from The Extension Academy. In 2022 I decided to level up my skills and took courses with Hair by Maria and Bellami professionals  learn the innovative invisible beaded weft technique, k-tips, I- tips, tape ins, volume wefts and hand tied wefts.

 

I absolutely love what I do and am always working to bring my clients the best installation methods and hair.
